It doesn’t take much: a saucer’s bottom is enough. In light of this observation, neither the insecticide spray on the hedge nor the electric trap placed on the terrace tops the recommendations: the most effective and enduring solution remains simple, namely to eliminate larval habitats, at home as in public spaces.
This gesture may seem trifling. It isn’t, because it attacks the insect exactly where it is vulnerable, before it becomes an adult capable of biting and, in rare cases, of transmitting a virus.
